How to I register for the course?
You can register for the course by clicking the "Register Now" button on any page of this website. If you wish to ask any questions about the course, its content or how it relates to your business vision, please press the "Ask a Question" button to submit your enquiry to the course director.
What is the cost of the course?
The first person attendee rate is $895.00. The second and further persons discounted rate is $695.00. The FDI takes most major credit cards (Visa, MC, Disc) Payment is made on the first day of the course so there is no fee or charge if you need to postpone your attendance for whatever reason.
Do I qualify for any rebates or discounts?
As a result of attending the FDI, Stoelting offers a rebate on your first machine purchase from authorized Stoelting Distributors. Stoelting will rebate 1.25% of the list price of the equipment up to the cost of the first persons tuition. There is no time limit on this rebate. The rebate is supplied in the form of a check through Stoelting after the final payment is made on your equipment.
What time does the course start?
The Course commences at 8.20am on the Monday and concludes at 5pm on Wednesday. All students are welcomed at our optional Thursday morning session which covers Batch Freezer training only. This day commences at 8.30am and concludes at 12pm.
When should I arrange my travel?
Most students arrive on the Sunday for an early Monday start. Students generally leave Wednesday evening or Thursday afternoon pending their attendance at our optional Thursday morning session.
Where do I fly into?
The St Louis airport code is STL. The FDI is approximately 20 mins to 30 mins away from the airport.
Will I need a rental Car?
The hotel recommendations are about 5 miles from the facility, and most people choose to stay at the Drury Inn. Students generally car pool with those who may have rented vehicles but that is not a certainly. FDI staff use the Chesterfield Car Service for general taxi transport which is about $30 from the airport to the hotels selected.
Where do I stay?
There are numerous options for accommodation close to the facility but not close enough to walk. The following Hotels will offer you our corporate rate when you mention you are attending the "Frozen Dessert Institute".

The hotel features free wireless internet and complimentary hot breakfast each morning. They have also introduced a Happy Hour where free drink and light meals are provided for guests free each evening. The Drury is right across the street from the Chesterfield Mall which is the largest mall around. It has many restaurants and places to shop. Most attendees stay at this hotel.
The FDI Discount will leave you with a room rate of about $105.00 before tax. Drury also has a courtesy shuttle to the FDI for morning and afternoon transport.

What meals do I have to pay for?
Coffee and light snacks are provided each morning, and lunch is provided each day. We are happy to suggest interesting and enjoyable places to eat for your evening meal. We provide your evening meal on the second evening.
What do I bring?
Just yourself! All course and writing material is provided. Dress is casual although you will need to wear close toed shoes. Running shoes are completely acceptable.
Is there an examination?
There may or may not be a rigorous and grueling examination at the end of the course. Each student will be given a certificate at the completion of the course.
